On the occasion of the Remembrance Day celebrations, dedicated to the memory of the Shoah, in the Tobino Room of Palazzo Ducale the exhibition Anne Frank, una storia attuale (Anne Frank, a current story) will be set up, curated by the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, translated into more than 25 languages ​​in over 150 countries around the world.

Photographs, many unpublished so far, images, quotes from the pages of Anne's diary tell of the condition of a Jewish family in the Nazi period. The infographic panels recall the importance of the protection of human rights and invite visitors, starting from the knowledge of the past, to take an active part in the problems of the present.

The exhibition will be open from January 21 to February 25, 2022 from Monday to Friday 9:00 am / 1:00 pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays also from 3:00 / 6:00 pm with extraordinary openings on Saturday 29 January and Sunday 30 January from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm.

The story of the Shoah is told through a double narrative level. On the one hand, the human story of Anne and her family in the context of the events that changed Europe in those years; on the other, more general issues such as political fanaticism, anti-Semitism, the Shoah and violation of human rights.
