The Mercato Antiquario Lucchese is an inevitable fixed appointment in Lucca for all fans of the topic.

Today more than 220 exhibitors from all over Italy participate and it is the second oldest antique market in Italy.

The stands of the exhibitors unfold inside the historic center of the city showing the most disparate and interesting objects: from the jewels of every era, to furnishings, to furniture, and then fabrics, antique and modern crockery and tableware, paintings, etchings, posters.

The manifestation and in particular the Lucca antiquarian tradition, has ancient origins that date back to the Middle Ages when, a few centuries ago, the noble families of Lucca used to search around Europe for rare and exclusive pieces that could be used to enrich their mansions.
