Classic itineraries

Lucca's history can be discovered simply by walking its streets, looking up at a bell tower, or simply smelling its aromas.

San Frediano Bastion of the Walls of Lucca. Tall plane trees grow on the bastion. Beyond the walls, the bell tower of the Basilica of San Frediano juts out, with its multi-lancet windows and swallow-tailed battlements.

Beyond a garden with statues, bushes and lemon trees there is the Pfanner palace with its colonnaded atrium and neoclassical staircase.
