A dense network of trails crisscrosses the northern Lucca area, immersing you in the natural beauty of the Morianese, Brancoleria, and Freddana Valleys, discovering places and villages that preserve a historical, artistic, and architectural heritage dating back to the Romanesque and early medieval periods. The beauty of the hills is complemented by the production of quality wine and olive oil, and along the banks of the Serchio River, you can enjoy several natural areas, including the renovated Parco dell'Infinito.
There is no shortage of cultural itineraries, such as the Via Francigena and the Via Matildica del Volto Santo, which have witnessed the footsteps of travellers and pilgrims for centuries, while along the Gothic Line one can walk in the footsteps of the history of the last century.
