Lucca Trek - South
Lucca Trek invites you to discover the rich cultural and natural heritage of the Lucca countryside and hills through a slow, sustainable, and authentic approach to experiencing the area.
Many paths crisscross the Lucca area, and numerous trails explore native forests and hills shaped by human labor and centuries of history. The city, with its historic walls, is further surrounded by hills and mountains. To the south, the Monte Pisano range delimits the Lucca Plain. These karst hills, inhabited since ancient times, boast a wide variety of vegetation and landscapes. A small slice of the Apuan Alps to explore and slowly explore in every season.
From the bastions of Lucca's Walls, you can admire the surrounding flat and hilly landscape and some of the peaks of Monte Pisano. There are several itineraries to immerse yourself in this magnificent countryside and enjoy pleasant walking experiences among the villages and nature of the Lucca area, from the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) network to the passage of major paths, from the waterways between the Nottolini aqueduct and the Serchio river area to the ancient routes enhanced by the project.
