Lucca Gustosa is a restaurant spread throughout the city, where you can enjoy the best traditional dishes and innovative innovations, where you can meet people who have made food their profession, from field to table.
Where you can discuss tastes and eating habits and discover new flavors, new stories, and new taste landscapes.
At this table, Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the guest of honor. He will also feature Italian wines, street food, producers, everyday and refined cuisines, entire menus and individual dishes to taste, watch, and listen to.

An even broader and more varied calendar, combining outreach, entertainment, markets, workshops, themed dinners, and guests of national importance, confirming the strong connection between tradition, flavor, culture, and conviviality.
Peppone Calabrese, a well-known face on RaiUno and a respected food and wine critic, will accompany the city on a journey through authentic flavors and local stories with his expertise and enthusiasm.
There will be moments at the stove and around the table with show cooking with great guests such as Hiroko Shoda “chef Hiro” and Valentina Alunno, the Cooking Experience with chef Matthew Cook, the fantastic breakfasts and brunches of Good first by Cook_inc and the absolute and pop premiere of InPasti San Frediano, the generous convivial dinners provided by of the Fornelle.

But that is taken care of by guests with proven expertise in food in all its expressions.
It's Peppone Calabrese himself who starts the story with his storytelling When food tells the story of a territory and then there will be the conference Food, media and stories of the territories with leading figures from the world of Rai and national journalism followed by two interventions by authoritative voices: the precious Lectio Magistralis by Prof. Marino Niola su What is Italian cuisine? and Davide Rampello's Masterclass on Why is Italian cuisine a world heritage?

And the children?
Children are welcome at the Lucca Gustosa table with workshops led by agri-influencers and well-known faces from social media. Andrea Micale and Michele Monopoli, and with the learned laboratories of the Maestrod'Olio dedicated to the knowledge of the olive tree and the Italian olive-growing heritage.
The Lodge of Taste
And then there is a popular moment of the demonstration, when the campaign comes to the city atthe Lodge of Taste under the Praetorian Palace. Here there is space for the De.CO project and, for once away from home, the village festivals of Aquilea, Sant'Angelo, Santa Maria del Giudice and Antraccoli meet here with their zuppa frantoiana, tordelli, polenta with pioppini mushrooms and, to finish, the delicate necci with ricotta from the Accademia degli Infarinati.

A market exhibition of artisanal extra virgin olive oil: over thirty producers coming from all over Italy, more than sixty labels to taste e Ten Artisans of Taste engaged in dedicated pairings and creations, masterclasses led by Fausto Borella, scientific insights with nutrition experts on the benefits of extra virgin olive oil in the contemporary diet, and show cooking.
The project also includes the Oil Charter, which involves the restaurants of the Lucca area in the promotion of artisanal extra virgin olive oils, and the educational path "An olive tree in every school”, sponsored by the Regional School Office.

At the Table – An ironic and poetic journey around the table, among plates, tablecloths and arriving guests., curated by EAT – Food and Wine at the Theatre and …and broke the bread – Leonardo's Last Supper between words and music” by and with Federico Quaranta which closes the 2026 edition of Lucca Gustosa.
For three days, Lucca's historic center becomes a gathering place for producers, local businesses, restaurateurs, and local professionals.
