Particular environmental conditions that have allowed the preservation of a very interesting flora, almost totally disappeared elsewhere, make the Sibolla oasis a small but significant wetland, one of the most important marsh biotopes in Tuscany from an environmental and floristic point of view.
In its particular position, this area is a great resource, a source of life and food for the many birds that pass through it along their migratory routes.
On the banks you can admire various species of aquatic birds: geese, ducks and, the most observed and photographed for their beauty and elegant presence, herons and egrets, which come here to spend the winter and nest during the long winter months.
The trail that runs through the oasis invites you to stroll and discover the typical wetland habitats. This comfortable 3-kilometer route is easy to explore, even with small children, and is a great way to spend a few pleasant hours relaxing.
Birdwatching is one of the most enjoyable activities. On the lake shore or hidden in the wooden stations along the trail, both adults and children eagerly await the birds soaring into the sky or fishing in the lake's waters.
A walkway suspended above the water leads to a wooden cabin: a privileged spot from which to observe birds, enjoy the silence and the beautiful view.
