SHOPPING IN JULY

Welcome July and welcome back evening shopping in the historic centre of Lucca.

The extraordinary openings of the Thursdays in July, a traditional appointment organised by the City of Lucca Shopping Centre of Confcommercio, are back.

A walk through the streets and squares of the historic centre during the coolest and most relaxing hours of the day, on the evenings of Thursday 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 July, with shops open until late to make the last purchases before leaving for the holidays. Before and after shopping, there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy an aperitif or dine in one of the town's bars or restaurants, tasting typical local dishes and wines.

A new cultural event is scheduled for this edition - Giovedì d'autore (Author Thursdays) - three appointments organised by the Gruppo Terziario Donna Confcommercio Lucca Massa Carrara. Three guests are expected in the courtyard of Palazzo Sani, who will present their books in dialogue with the public:

Thursday 3 - Marco Picchi presents his “Happy Leader”, a guide for entrepreneurs and professionals to be successful and do business but without going bust or becoming unnatural, finding the right balance between private life and work;

Thursday 17 - Jessica Antonello talks about the book she co-authored, “Being a startupper”;

Thursday 31 - Federico Lazzarini presents and talks about his book “Social proof”.

All evenings will start at 9 p.m., with free admission.
