The Higher Institute of Musical Studies "L. Boccherini" is protagonist of one of the most appreciated events of the celebrations for the 950th anniversary of the cathedral of S. Martino.

On Tuesday 6 October at 9:00 pm, the "Boccherini" string orchestra conducted by Manuel Del Ghingaro and Lorenzo Biagi, will perform in concert inside the cathedral together with the organist Niccolò Bartolini.

The best of the art collection by the Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca Foundation is the full title of the exhibition, which from 3 October to 1 November will be open on the mezzanine of the Ragghianti Foundation, in the San Micheletto Complex.

XXV edition of the open day of courtyards and gardens for the 10th edition of the National Day of the Italian Historic Houses Association which is held on Sunday 4 October. In Tuscany, over 105 historic locations including castles, fortresses, villas, parks and gardens have joined the initiative and open their doors for free to welcome visitors to unique places of Italian history and artistic and cultural heritage.

A tribute to Alberto Sordi with the tenor Claudio Sassetti on Friday 2 October from 9:15 pm in the culture room at the Pinturicchio shopping center.
The event is part of the Pinturicchio cultural agenda, aiming at spreading culture in the community with beauty, quality, art and music happenings.

The tenor Claudio Sassetti interprets songs written by the great actor. On the piano Tiziano Mangani. Sara Vannelli presents the evening.
