The museum of contemporary art Lu.CCA - Lucca Center of Contemporary Art is located near the Piazza Anfiteatro, inside the Palazzo Boccella, also called "alla Fratta".
The building, which has become a museum after extensive renovations and upgrading works, contains paintings of allegorical figures and characters wearing 17th century dresses that are in contrast to the sterile rooms used for the display of contemporary art.
