Year 51: Lucca Comics and Games can be Heroes ... at least for 5 days!
The second half century of the Festival opens with the "manifesto" of the values shared with the audience. New guests announced in the Activision Square, (Santa Maria Square). It will be dedicated to the Heroes of paper, pixel, celluloid, but above all in flesh and bone heroes who travel to create each year the largest community event in Europe.

The opportunities that the Forum and the Itinerary Program offer to our territory
From 27 to 29 September 2017 Lucca will host the annual Forum of Cultural Itineraries of the Council of Europe, a program that our territory, for history and heritage, is linked from different points of view.
LuccaExperience, the Lucca app-guide, launches the photo contest #myluccaexperience, with the patronage of the Lucca Municipality. From May 15 to June 15, 2017, citizens and passionate photography enthusiasts and lovers of the beauty of our city will be able to share their visiting experience by publishing on their personal Instagram profile their most striking shot in the Historic Center of Lucca.
Warm weather is coming and so is also arriving a new entry between our offers for the routes outside the city: the tours to Massaciuccoli Lake with Burlamacca Motorship, retracing Giacomo Puccini's life and places.
A charming and panoramic tour on water that gives the occasion to admire the natural beauties of the lake, and possibly even to try some culinary delicacies since it's possible to have local food tastings on board!

Lucca's National Museums join the projects promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Turism, thanks to the collaboration of the internal staff. The purpose is to increase and improve the cultural offer promoting the following activities, starting from the month of December:
National Museum of Villa Guinigi
A new exhibition itinerary made of sculptures has been opened on Saturday 17th of December 2016 in the cloisters of Fondazione Ragghianti. The set-up, designed by Mauro Lovi, wants to give to the sculptures a new arrangement that allows a different way to study and admire them, following a general and systematic plan, with detailed and complete captions.
The most delicate artworks are insideFondazione Ragghianti Library's reading room, in a new disposition.
