At the Lucca Center of Contemporary Art an exhibition dedicated to Fortunato Depero entitled From the Futurist Dream to the Advertising Sign.

Fortunato Depero was one of the signatories of the manifesto of the air paint and representative of the so-called "second futurism", Italian painter, sculptor, designer, illustrator, set designer and costume designer.
Depero first painted sketches made later with poor materials (metal wires, glass, cardboard, tissue paper) that contained the dream of a total work of art, capable of encompassing all the languages of artistic research, from painting to sculpture, music, architecture. Realized with mechanisms capable of making them move, the plastic complexes start from the theories expressed in the manifesto Ricostruzione futurista dell'universo (Futurist Reconstruction of the Universe), then they immerse themselves in fashion and begin to use printed fabrics of optical art, based on black and white geometric grids, or of pop art, with bright colours.
