The second edition of the Lucca Art Fair, conceived and directed by Paolo Batoni, president of the cultural association Blob ART, four days dedicated to art in an event that brings together the connective tissues of a territory full of artistic experiences, both from the The point of view of the production, that of the art market.

 

A second edition, the one scheduled at the Lucca Polo Fiere, which is packed with new proposals and design, with a timetable of exhibitions, talks, meetings, prizes, visits, workshops and side events.
Born out of the need to network the many artistic experiences of the territory and with the aim of repositioning Tuscany as a true Italian cultural lab, the trade fair is an essential upgrade platform for work people and as a lively point of view, Meeting for the general public.
With its important cultural and economic experiences and thanks to the crossroads between the Pietrasanta art room, the Carrara white marble workshop and the most important Tuscan museums, Lucca is in fact the most dynamic and receptive host city for new Artistic experiments.
Confirmed the format of the trade fair, divided into two main axes: a Main Section that, through historic galleries, will propose a stimulating blend of modern, post-war and contemporary art, will be complemented by the commitment of the fair to enhance artistic research and to deepen the concept Of performativity.
A TAZ area, the Temporary Art Zone, will be aimed at contemporary art galleries dedicated to the search for more innovative languages, a special focus on the screening aspect, which has been investigated through the inauguration of Critical Readings by Lorenzo Bruni, a new collaboration of this edition Also entrusted with the care of the Overcoming Project, a project devoted to spaces not profitconun performance articulated program.

 

On Saturdays and Sundays, the space for talks: meetings with top personalities of the Italian cultural landscape, workmen and collectors, to offer an exchange of experiences and knowledge that activates and develops an indispensable network for the growth of the contemporary art system.

 

Carte Blanche
Project designed by Lorenzo Bruni who will see the collectors Francesco Taurisano (Saturday 6th May at 6.30pm) and Sergio Bertola (Friday, May 5th at 6.00pm) in the unpublished guild dresses on a free path through the various venues of the fair. Guided tours
On Saturday, May 6, at 12:00 and at 4:00 pm, a free guided tour will be held at the fair stand by Francesca Baboni, an ad hoc route to show the great artists of modern art and the new proposals of the Emerging ones, to bring art closer to the general public than those who do not work, to collectors who want to deepen and to young people who want to take the road of collecting or understand how the art system works.

Kids Lab
Saturday 6 May, h 16.00 and h 17.30 and Sunday, May 7,  h16.00 and  h 17.30 Free workshop of contemporary art for children and girls from 6 years old, organized in collaboration with Fondazione Ragghianti by Federica Chezzi, Angela Departenza, Claudia Tognaccini.
With Pop your body, participants will be led to transform their face into a colorful and stunning pop self-portrait.

Overcoming Projects
A project devoted to nonprofit spaces whose actions investigate the concepts of time and temporality in dialogue with the public space.
Performance Program:
Saturday 6th May at 6pm - Isabella and Tiziana Pers, Rave, Udine and at 9 pm - Gabriele Abruzzese and Lisa Wade, BEBOCS, Catania and Topo, Milan, with a sound performance by Steve Piccolo and Gak Sato.
