Personal exhibition dedicated to Mario Nigro, painter born exactly a century ago in Pistoia and died in Livorno in 1992.

Nigro was a protagonist of Italian art and its civil rebirth after the Second World War. His abstract and very personal works combine structure and colour, rigour and inventiveness. The aim of the exhibition, curated by Paolo Bolpagni and Francesca Pola, is to retrace the artist's entire creative path through his masterpieces and main turning points, presented in dialogue with authors from the international context such as Max Bill, Francois Morellet, Heinz Marc, Sol Le Witt, Roman Opalka, Fred Sandback and Niele Toroni.
