A year of sport

Holidays can be a time to experience your favourite sport in a new nature and new landscapes.

In order not to renounce physical activity and take advantage of a moment of relaxation, to get to know the territory in a different way, we propose a series of appointments that combine physical and cultural activity, crossing the landscapes of the Tuscan hills that the whole world envies us.

On 8 May the Giro d'Italia passes through Lucca to pay homage to the centenary of Giacomo Puccini, after 39 years.

In June, the MiIle Miglia, the most beautiful race in the world, passes by , and who can resist lurking along the avenues of the Walls of Lucca or in the piazzas to watch the legendary vintage car race as it passes through Italy's most beautiful landscapes.

on Thursday 13 June, the crews pass through on the third day of the race before departing for Rome.




We begin in the historic centre of Lucca or rather the ring that surrounds it, acclaimed by joggers as the most beautiful place in the world to jog.

Every Saturday morning, you can join the Mura di Lucca Park Run, the non-competitive race that takes place simultaneously in the parks of more than 20 countries around the world.

Warm up and then each at his or her own pace for the tour of the Walls of Lucca, timed and supervised by volunteers and instructors.

"…il primo bacio dell’ Aprile è mio…” "...the first kiss of April is mine..." Mimì sang in Boheme. Cycling accompanied by a great soundtrack is a unique experience to have along the Cicloclassica Puccini cycle route during the first weekend of April. A route suitable for everyone in the places of the great Maestro, with visits to the uccini museums of the territory and two ring routes, with departures from Lucca and Viareggio that reach the two shores of Lake Massaciuccoli, with a passage by boat and lots of live music along the way.
