Built as Villa Segromigno, it was bought by the Mansis in the seventeenth century.
The Mansi family was rich and well-known for its silk trade. After buying the house, the family commissioned architect Giusti from Lucca the renovation of the façade, and Filippo Juvarra the transformation of the garden. The Villa houses several paintings, many belonging to Stefano Tofanelli
