1 - A GREEN TREASURE HUNT

 

 

6th edition of Lucca Bimbi in the prestigious setting of the Real Collegio in Lucca. A big party dedicated to children (2 to 12 years) and families with play areas, creative workshops, shows, fairy tales and entertainment.

Two days of joy and fun for the little ones, who can free their imagination and become the protagonists of a fantasy world, but also their parents will enjoy pure fun together in exciting family activities.

 

From 9 to 25 April the traditional Easter market in Piazza Napoleone, the largest and most welcoming square in the historic center of Lucca.

Stands and stalls with a great choice of interesting items to buy: soft cashmere garments, knitwear, colorful caftans, leather bags worked by local artisans, costume jewelery and cotton accessories with unique textures and designs.

 

 

 

 

A' Vucciria Sicilia Street Food, five days celebrating the colors, sounds and scents of Sicily.

Uno Tabarro di Sbiavato di Duagio. What is the meaning of this strange sentence that immediately attracts our attention?

On Sunday 10 April at 3.30 pm in the Casermetta San Paolino everything will be revealed in a conference in Italian language by Prof. Sara Paci Piccolo, expert in medieval historical reenactment and professor of History of Costume and Fashion and of Historical Tailoring Techniques.

 

From 9 to 12 April the city of Lucca hosts the 1st Vox Lucensis International Choral Competition, an important appointment for international choir music, under the artistic direction of Maestro Giovanni Acciai together with Maestro Sara Matteucci.

A competition divided into different categories a cappella and with accompaniment, including sacred music, youth choirs and chamber choirs, with concerts and performances in some of the most beautiful churches in the historic center of Lucca.

Walking on the city walls on ancient stones, in the gardens, by the lake, in the countryside or in the city, on the first warm days in the nature. The perfect detox walk can be made in the Piana di Lucca area, through fresh and colorful blooms.

A great music afternoon with melodies and spirituality and an important opportunity to present talented young musicians from the area.

On Sunday 10 April at 5:30 pm in the San Francesco church the traditional Easter Concert of the Gaetano Luporini Philharmonic of San Gennaro is back again, conducted by Maestro Giampaolo Lazzeri.

 

Arte del pellegrino, a three-day festival in the barracks of the Ancient Mint of Lucca between history, art, culture and food, focusing on the travel theme.

Many events are in the program. Percorsi contemporanei is a photographic exhibition curated by Carlo Vincenzi, with 12 black and white shots stolen from wayfarers and pilgrims during their travels. Itinerari del Gusto are food tastings of excellent local products, simple dishes inspired by the classic pilgrim's meal, but with a topical touch for modern travelers.
