Waiting for the 10th edition of Lucca Biennale, the first international art festival dedicated to paper and its forms, an open-air exhibition where artists try their hand at making large works of paper, in close collaboration with companies producing paper and cardboard, a tradition in the Lucca area, since the early 1300s.

21.00 - Cinema Astra di Lucca - "Paperman - Beyond Boundaries". Documentary on James Lake, artist winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award during the 2018 edition of Lucca Biennale - Cartasia.

The documentary, made during the last edition of the Biennale, was shot by Domenico Zazzara and is produced by Metropolis Produzioni. It tells the story of overcoming one's limits - physical, psychological, social - as a necessary challenge to believe in oneself, in one's abilities and in one's projects. James' story is a universal parable about the value of growth and change.

The director will be present in the theatre for a discussion with the audience.
