The screening is part of the collateral initiatives at the exhibition Moneyless  - The geometric alchemist of urban art, underway at the Palazzo delle exhibitions until June 9 (free admission). For the occasion, the exhibition will also be open to the public from 21:00 to 23:00.

In collaboration with Cineforum Ezechiele 25.17 with the introduction of Alessandro Romanini and Gian Guido Grassi, curator of the current exhibition, it will be possible to see this 1996 film with Jeffrey Wright, Michael Wincott, Benicio Del Toro, Claire Forlani, David Bowie recounts a 1981 New York in which Jean-Michel Basquiat is a nineteen year old without any precise ideas about his future but a great passion for drawing that he exhibits in an irregular manner by doing graffiti. He has no fixed abode and moves in the New York artistic undergrowth. In a bar he makes drawings for the maid Gina with whom he begins a relationship. The friend Benny urges him to go on. One day he finds the courage to show some cards to Andy Warhol who appreciates its quality. Thus begins a climb that leads him to great success with the public and critics. But this is not enough to make his strong self-destructive impulses disappear. He died in 1988 at the age of 26.
