Many events at the food and cultural event Il Desco 2019

The meetings of Francigena Food 2019 focus on the theme of self-packaging energy and easy digestible foods for pilgrims. Each appointment includes the demonstration of the procedure and the tasting of take-away foods made with typical ingredients of Lucca accompanied by wine from local hills. During the meetings experts illustrate the characteristics and properties of the food and a small manual of recipes designed for the occasion as a gift.

On Sunday, December 8 at 12:00pm at the Real Collegio of Lucca at the Desco event, in Sala dell'Avena (1st floor), talk show with tasting dedicated to food education along the pilgrimage routes. Focus su Le Gambe. Preparation of cantucci cookies of Lucca, befanotti cookies of Garfagnana, chestnut cake and chocolate.
Speakers: Roberto Petrocchi, a wandering pilgrim.
